SIMA remembers every price you pay. To do that it has to keep some of your data. This page says, in plain words, what we collect, why, who sees it, and how you delete it at any time.

1. What we collect

Your account: your email and a password, or your Apple account if you use Sign in with Apple. Apple may give us a relay email instead of your real one; that is fine. Your name reaches us once, on first sign-in only.
Your receipts: the photos and screenshots you choose (camera, photo library, or the share button), and the items, prices and shops we read from them.
What you type or say: purchases you add by hand, your income, budget and subscriptions, and your notes. If you add a purchase by voice, your device turns speech into text and we keep only the text.
Approximate location, optional: requested only when you look for nearby shops, and used at that moment. We never track your location in the background.
Notifications: a device token that lets us send alerts, if you turn them on.
Usage: general events such as "receipt scan started" or "prices page opened", so we can see where the app stumbles. Receipt contents are never sent to analytics.
Subscription: your plan state (free, trial, premium). Payment goes through Apple; we never see your card number.

2. Why we use it

To read your receipts, keep your prices, and tell you whether a price was good or you overpaid.
To build your money picture: spending, income, subscriptions and bill splits.
To send the alerts you asked for (subscription renewals, price drops, warranty reminders).
To improve the app and fix crashes.
To run SIMA Premium and confirm it is active on your account.

We do not sell your data and we show no ads.

3. Prices shared with the community

When you save a receipt, the item, shop, price and date may be added to SIMA's community prices, without your name, your account, or the receipt photo. This is what powers "what people around you pay". Editing or deleting the line on your receipt withdraws the price we shared.

4. Who sees your data

We use companies that help run SIMA, each seeing only what its job needs:

Google (Gemini): reads your receipt photos and text to extract items and prices. Images are processed for this purpose only.
Supabase: hosts the database, files and accounts. Your photos sit in private storage nobody else can reach.
Apple: payments, subscriptions and Sign in with Apple.
RevenueCat: links your Apple subscription to your SIMA account.
PostHog (EU servers): usage analytics.
Expo: notification delivery.

We share nothing with anyone else unless the law requires it.

5. How long we keep it

A receipt you save stays until you delete it.
A photo you scan but do not save is deleted automatically within 30 days.
When you delete your account, all your data and photos are erased from our servers.

6. Your controls

Edit: change any receipt, item or price inside the app.
Delete your account: Settings → "Delete my account". Everything is erased immediately and permanently.
Notifications and location: managed from iPhone Settings at any time.
A copy of your data: write to info@trysynk.com and we will send it.

7. Security

All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS), your photos live in private storage, and every account can only see its own data. We never store card numbers.

8. Children

SIMA is built for people managing their own money. If you are under 18, use it with a guardian's consent.

9. Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we tell you inside the app before it takes effect.
